American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Pool position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with on-call obligations and night shift availability.

Works within a Med/Surg Telemetry Resource Pool in a hospital setting

Float pool position — may float to multiple units across two campuses as needed

Patient ratio of 1:6

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Weekends required on an as-needed basis

On-call required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period

Block scheduling is not available for this position

Epic EMR experience preferred but not required

13-week contract
-
Active SC or Compact RN license required (pending license considered if obtained prior to start)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; 2 years preferred

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests after initial submission will not be considered

Must pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation — only one attempt is allowed

Fit testing is required on-site; shaving may be required to pass — failure to comply results in a failed fit test

An attendance policy is in effect: missing more than two shifts in a 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation
