Provide ground-level support for fiber optic cable installation, working under direct supervision of on-site personnel. Perform cable pulling, trench support, conduit placement, and site cleanup while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Learn the trade and support the crew in an active military installation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pull, lay, and place fiber optic cable
- Assist with trench support and backfill
- Place conduit and perform hand-rodding
- Handle general site cleanup and material handling
Qualifications:
- Reliable, consistent attendance
- Strong critical‑thinking and situational awareness around heavy equipment
- Willingness to perform sustained physical labor outdoors
- Good attitude and willingness to learn the trade
- Reliable transportation with current insurance and vehicle registration
Preferred Skills:
- OSHA 10 certification (strongly preferred)
- Prior experience on military bases
- Prior experience pulling cable or in underground/OSP construction or utilities
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
