About HopeCentral
HopeCentral is a small, faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit clinic founded in 2014 that serves all families in Southeast Seattle regardless of income, status, or belief system. Our mission is to “share the love of Jesus through excellent, enhanced primary care for the entire community.” HopeCentral provides pediatric primary care (with a 2 FTE pediatrician staff) , select specialty behavioral health services, and leverages our clinical work to engage in community health programs, primarily focused on developmental disability.
Position Summary
After 15 years of serving South Seattle, HopeCentral is hiring our first dedicated Director of Operations in order to establish a strong operational foundation to position the organization for the next phase of growth. As the primary operational leader of the clinic, the Director of Operations will have a significant impact on the quality and scale of HopeCentral’s service to our community.
The Director of Operations ensures operational excellence across human resources, finance, clinic workflows, facilities, compliance, technology - all of which contribute to a top tier patient experience. This role reports directly to the Physician Co-Executive Directors (Co-EDs). As the operational backbone of HopeCentral, the Operations Director is responsible for overseeing administrative, business, and clinic operations.

The ideal candidate brings:
- 5+ years of healthcare, clinic, or medical practice operations leadership experience
- Demonstrated success managing clinic operations, staff performance, and organizational workflows
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management, budgeting, and financial oversight
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, employment law, and HR best practices
- Experience with EHR systems, operational reporting, and data analytics
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams with professionalism, accountability, and empathy
- Excellent communication and relationship-building across clinical and administrative teams
- A servant-leadership mindset aligned with HopeCentral’s faith-based mission and values
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field required, or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related discipline) preferred
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Operations & Patient Experience
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure efficient, patient-centered service delivery
- Partner with providers and staff to implement best practices that improve operational effectiveness and care coordination
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on patient experience, quality outcomes, and operational excellence; provide data to support conclusions
- Monitor clinic performance metrics, patient access, scheduling efficiency, patient satisfaction, and operational KPIs
Human Resources & Team Leadership
- Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
- Lead staff development through coaching, training, and regular performance feedback
- Collaborate with EDs on workforce planning, personnel decisions, and organizational structure
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and organizational policies
Financial Management & Revenue Cycle
- Oversee operational budgeting, expense management, payroll coordination, purchasing, and financial reporting
- Oversee revenue cycle processes including billing workflows, claims coordination, collections, and payer relationships
- Support strategic planning and resource allocation in collaboration with co-EDs and Board
- Support grant budgeting, restricted fund tracking, and financial reporting requirements
Compliance, Quality & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, OSHA standards, and organizational policies
- Support clinic accreditation, audits, reporting requirements, and risk management activities
Facilities & Vendor Management
- Oversee facility operations including maintenance, safety procedures, equipment, supply management, technology systems and operational software platforms
- Manage relationships with landlords, service providers, operational vendors
Community Engagement & Organizational Growth
- Support patient panel growth and operational expansion efforts with operational insight and strategic planning, in collaboration with leadership and outreach teams
- Support partnerships and community engagement efforts that strengthen HopeCentral’s mission and impact
- Develop and maintain reporting and analysis to inform leadership and Board
