Overview
Golden View Learning Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Escondido. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, providing applied behavioral analysis or ABA therapy and support to enhance their quality of life. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive behavioral health outcomes. Prior experience in applied behavior analysis, working with children, and familiarity with data collection are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and therapy techniques tailored to each client’s care plan
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, and hygiene
- Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and life skills through teaching strategies aligned with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical records, including documentation of treatment sessions and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistency in care plans and behavioral management strategies
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical standards related to patient care, confidentiality, and medical documentation
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavior management, special education techniques, and medical terminology
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or behavioral health needs
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles
- Ability to assist clients with ADLs and implement teaching strategies effectively
- Strong data collection skills and attention to detail for tracking client progress accurately
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and basic medical terminology
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Prior experience in patient care or supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges is preferred
- High School Diploma
- Must obtain RBT credential within 90 days of employment (don’t worry, we can help you!)
- Must maintain CPR certification with an in person component (reimbursed)
- TB skin test
- Ability to pass a background check (reimbursed)
- Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid identification
- Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 30 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (with or without reasonable accommodations)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
