Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor to lead asbestos abatement projects with precision and safety. In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of asbestos removal operations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold quality standards, and maintain excellent communication with clients and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities
- Supervise asbestos removal teams during industrial cleaning and abatement projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Coordinate project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet deadlines efficiently
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper containment, sanitation, and cleanup procedures are followed throughout each phase of the project
- Ensure all team members are trained in asbestos handling, safety regulations, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, safety incidents, and compliance records for regulatory audits
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to update project status and address any issues promptly
- Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism within the team by enforcing sanitation standards and managing custodial tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising asbestos removal or industrial cleaning teams in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to asbestos handling, environmental health standards, and sanitation management
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate with clients, staff, and regulatory bodies
- Hands-on experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or housekeeping management is highly desirable
- Ability to oversee cleaning & sanitation operations while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Previous management or supervisory experience in industrial cleaning or hospitality environments is a plus
- Valid certifications related to asbestos abatement or environmental health are preferred
