General Liability Defense Associate
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $130,000 – $190,000+ (dependent on experience)

Most GL defense ads lead with the billable requirement because that number is usually the thing that makes good lawyers scroll past. I want to lead with this instead.
This is a well established New York defense firm that has kept the feel of a small team even as it has grown. People stay. Genuinely, turnover on this team is about as low as I have seen in this market, and when I ask people why, the answer is almost always the Managing Partner. She is the kind of leader people actually want to work for, not just tolerate.

What they need from you:
- Three plus years of defense experience, no upper limit. Whether you are five years in or fifteen or even more. The role will be mainly General Liability focused, but, with other areas included. They are happy for someone to move into this area from other defense niches.
- Active New York Bar admission.
