American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry/IMC position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital in Oregon, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and an active OR RN license.

Short-term acute care hospital setting — Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center, and academic teaching facility

Cardiac Intermediate Care (IMC) unit serving cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and advanced heart failure patients

Patient diagnoses include ACS, NSTEMI, HF management, pre/post cath care, arrhythmia management, pacemaker placement, CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, fem-pop bypass, VAD support, and pre/post heart transplant care

Patient ratio is 1:4

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), 36 hours per week

4 weekend shifts required per month

Floating required within scope to acute care and IMC units; refusal to float may result in contract cancellation

No on-call requirements

Charting is performed in Epic (experience highly preferred)

Safe patient mobilization equipment, including ceiling lifts, available in the majority of patient rooms

Provider coverage available 24/7 for all patient teams, with most teams having an in-house provider overnight

13-week contract with potential to extend

Active Oregon (OR) RN license required — pending licensure accepted if application has been submitted and received by the Oregon licensing board, qualifying for the 90-day license exemption

Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Epic EMR experience highly preferred

COVID vaccination documentation required — no exemptions

Two manager or supervisor references from within the past 24 months required; charge RN references are not acceptable

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction

Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them; must have been gone at least 6 months to return as a traveler

RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for a 13-week contract or 7 days for an 18-week contract; any approved RTO exceeding 5 days requires extending the contract end date to fulfill the full assignment length

All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of consideration and cannot exceed 2 consecutive weeks

Solid-color scrubs required — no printed patterns; scrubs are provided
