Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive and engaging first impression.
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using our table management system, Resy, along with our POS System, Toast
- Seat guests promptly, coordinating with servers to ensure timely service.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and seating arrangements.
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns politely and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Support overall restaurant flow by coordinating table turnover and assisting with basic food safety and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for handling seating counts, reservations, and guest billing when necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously.
- Knowledge of hospitality principles, guest services, and food safety standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette at all times.
