Job Overview
Uptown Blanco Restaurant is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our historic property, beautiful grounds, and guest spaces looking their best. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Perform routine building maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain landscaping, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and outdoor spaces
- Clean and maintain koi ponds, including monitoring water quality, pumps, and filtration systems
- Perform seasonal planting, mulching, trimming, and irrigation maintenance
- Repair and maintain fences, gates, lighting, signage, and outdoor furniture
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs
- Maintain patios, walkways, parking areas, and event spaces
- Assist with event setup and breakdown when needed
- Identify maintenance issues before they become major repairs
- Coordinate with outside contractors for larger projects as necessary
- Keep maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies organized and in good working order
- Install, maintain, and remove seasonal lighting and holiday decorations throughout the property
- Assist with decorating the restaurant, courtyard, and event spaces for holidays and special events
- Ensure the property remains clean, safe, and guest-ready at all times
Skills
- Previous maintenance, landscaping, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Experience maintaining ponds or water features is a plus (training available)
- Ability to safely operate lawn equipment, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment
- Comfortable working at heights when installing seasonal lighting and decorations
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
