TITLE: Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic Urgent Care
LOCATION: Chula Vista, CA
JOB TYPE: Temp (6 month assignment)
SCHEDULE: 5x8's - 40 hours/wk
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient Clinic team. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an ambulatory/clinic setting, assist with assessments and treatments, administer medications, coordinate patient care, and provide education to patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document patient health information accurately.
- Administer medications, injections, treatments, and other nursing interventions according to provider orders and established protocols.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office-based treatments.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, follow-up care, and disease management.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate provider.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and other aspects of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Perform telephone triage and respond appropriately to patient questions and concerns.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements:
- RN License of CA State
- Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
