About the Role:
Join our team at Custom Industrial Products, where our welders craft an array of material handling solutions, including VRCs, material handling baskets, and VRC lift parts. With meticulous attention to detail, they fabricate metal components and products, ensuring each weld is clean and polished. Following precise blueprints and material measurements, welder's play a pivotal role in the fabrication process, upholding our commitment to quality and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize MIG welding techniques on steel materials, employing both gas welding and various arc welding processes.
- Execute associated tasks such as thermal cutting, drilling, shearing, punch pressing, and deburring.
- Achieve superior finishes, grinding and refining materials to exacting standards.
- Interpret blueprints and drawings, taking precise measurements to strategize layout and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of finished products and documentation according to company and client specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with established protocols.
Candidate Requirements:
- Possession of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, accompanied by at least 3 YEARS of welding experience.
- Certification or eligibility for AWS 3G weld certification preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to CIP standards of quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with operating machinery such as shears, angle grinders, and handheld plasma equipment.
- Consistent commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality craftsmanship.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds..
- Flexibility in performing physical activities such as twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, and extended periods of standing.
