We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team at Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a quaint eighty-bed ranch-style facility with a friendly homelike atmosphere located in the heart of Central New York. Surrounded by beautiful woodlands, we combine our serene surroundings with a safe and modern residence where individuals can receive the specialized care they need.
About the Role:
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout our facility. This includes performing floor care duties, such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors, as well as removing trash and soiled linens from designated areas. You will also ensure that all equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in good working order. If you have a strong attention to detail, a focus on cleanliness and safety, and excellent teamwork skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Perform floor care duties, including stripping, waxing, and buffing floors
Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the facility
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean, well-maintained, and in good working order
Remove trash and soiled linens from designated areas
Work closely with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
Follow safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of residents and staff
Qualifications:
Previous Environmental Services Technician experience is a plus, including experience with stripping and waxing floors
Strong attention to detail and a focus on cleanliness and safety
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Electrical skills, painting, plumbing and housekeeping cleaning is a plus
Must be able to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
Strong work ethic with a focus on providing excellent service
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Consistency and the ability to keep to schedules
