General Pest & Insulation Technician
Richland Pest & Bee is hiring a dependable, hardworking General Pest & Insulation Technician to join our growing team. This position combines general pest-control services with attic and crawlspace insulation work.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, communicates professionally with customers, and is comfortable working in physically demanding environments. Pest-control or insulation experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial pest-control services.
- Inspect properties for pest activity and contributing conditions.
- Apply pest-control products safely and according to product labels and company procedures.
- Remove damaged or contaminated insulation from attics and crawlspaces.
- Install new insulation according to the approved job scope.
- Assist with sanitation, cleanup, vacuuming, sealing, and preparation work.
- Safely operate ladders, insulation equipment, sprayers, vacuums, and hand tools.
- Take clear photographs and document completed work.
- Explain services and recommendations professionally to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
- Follow all safety, PPE, pesticide-label, and company requirements.
- Identify additional pest-control, exclusion, insulation, or home-protection opportunities.
Position Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required background and employment screenings.
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and other confined areas.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and physically demanding conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Comfortable using ladders and working at elevated heights.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow detailed instructions.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required pest-control licensing.
- Pest-control, insulation, construction, wildlife, roofing, or home-service experience is a plus.
