Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and skilled Bartender/Server to join our dynamic Brewpub team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a professional with strong multitasking abilities, experience with POS systems, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. Prior experience in food and beverage service, including catering and food handling, is highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing cash transactions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Duties
- Take and serve drink and food orders accurately using TOAST POS system.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy hours
- Handle cashing out customers accurately and processing payments using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service operations
- Assist in setting up for events such as catering functions
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to food handling and beverage service
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments
- Proficiency with POS systems
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry
- Experience in serving, catering, banquet service, or brewing is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
