About the Role
Rock U Music School is hiring a part time Guitar Teacher to teach private, in person music lessons in Woodbury, MN. If you're passionate about helping students grow in confidence and creativity through music, we'd love to meet you!
Rock U is growing quickly, so this is a new teaching position with schedule availability every day. You'll have the chance to help shape and grow the guitar program with a supportive, creative team behind you. Whether you're guiding beginners through their first chords or helping seasoned players shred at the next level, you'll be making a real impact in students' lives, one lesson at a time.
What You’ll Do
- Teach private, weekly lessons tailored to each student’s age, interests, and goals
- Inspire students to grow in confidence, creativity, and musicality
- Collaborate with our teacher team to keep things fun, fresh, and student-centered
- Track attendance and communicate clearly with student families
- Provide occasional progress updates or quick check-ins with parents
- Be a part of building Rock U’s guitar programs. Your ideas matter here!
- Contribute to the fun and engaging community-first culture that Rock U has created
What We’re Looking For
- Proficient in guitar with a solid foundation in music theory
- Ability to also teach additional instruments like beginner piano or voice is a plus, but not mandatory
- Able to adapt your teaching to different learning styles and skill levels
- A warm, reliable, and upbeat communicator
- Available 3:00-8:00pm at least one day a week.
- Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required — if you’ve got the skills and a great attitude, we’re happy to train you!
