American Eagle Packaging is a packaging distribution company that supplies businesses with corrugated boxes and other packaging materials. We receive, warehouse, and ship products for our customers from our Elgin facility.
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team.
This is a hands-on warehouse position. Daily work includes operating a forklift, pulling and staging orders, loading and unloading trucks, receiving material, and keeping the warehouse organized.
We are looking for someone who can learn our operation, take initiative, and grow into a lead role. As you learn the warehouse, you will take on more responsibility for helping organize daily work, communicating priorities, and keeping the team on track.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely
- Pull and stage customer orders
- Load and unload trucks
- Receive and put away material
- Help keep inventory and the warehouse organized
- Communicate with the warehouse team, customer service and management
- Help organize and prioritize daily work as you learn the operation
- Step in wherever needed to get the job done

This is a working lead position. Even as you take on more responsibility, you will still operate a forklift and work alongside the rest of the warehouse team.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
