We are seeking a full-time Meat Cutter / Butcher to join our growing team. The New York Butcher Shoppe is a premier full-service butcher shop—and so much more. We offer exceptional customer service to match our premium products, including Certified Angus Beef®, an outstanding wine selection, and a wide variety of chef-prepared meals and sides made fresh in-house.

Fair warning: We believe in teamwork around here. If you mysteriously disappear every time there's something heavy to lift, dishes to wash, or a customer needs help...this probably isn't your dream job. We hire people who jump in, pitch in, and make the whole team better!
Base Pay: Starts at $16.00+ an hour.
Tips increase hourly rate $5.00 - $10.00 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Process meat cuts according to portions and business standards
- Oversee inventory levels and quality control
- Maintain cutting equipment functionality
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are met including proper storage of meats
- Accurately estimate meat weight during cutting
- Knowledge of a wide variety of cuts and meats
- Work with customers to help them select meat
- Must cross train with prepared meals team
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a butcher/meat cutter presenting for a meat case
- Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy interacting with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to successfully multi-task
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work with and coordinate with a team to ensure success
- Able to work in a cold environment for long periods of time
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential to interact with customers and employees
- One more thing... We sell beautiful steaks, not "I just rolled out of bed" vibes. We take pride in our appearance because our customers notice the details. If you're well-groomed, neat, and enjoy looking professional at work, you'll fit right in. If personal hygiene and a clean appearance aren't your thing, this probably isn't the place for you.
Store Hours
We are open 7 days a week!
10am-7pm Monday through Saturday
11am-5pm on Sunday
***Must have no restrictions on schedule***
