Pay: $13.50-$14.00
This position is responsible for:
The Day Center Housing Monitor is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for all Day Center participants, visitors, volunteers, and staff. This position assists individuals experiencing homelessness and other barriers by monitoring facility activities, conducting participant intakes and screenings, maintaining accurate records, enforcing program guidelines, and connecting participants with community resources. The Day Center Housing Monitor promotes dignity, accountability, safety, and self-sufficiency while ensuring the efficient daily operation of the Day Center.oth shelter operations in line with The Salvation Army’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Safety Assessments and Client Intakes

Maintain Accurate Shelter Records and recieve incoming calls

Ensure Safety and Conflict Resolution

Perform Administrative and Clerical Tasks

Support Daily Shelter Operations
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
-
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
-
Ability to lift light objects weighing less than 24 pounds.

Work is performed in a shelter facility.
-
There are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather.

Minimal discomforts related to noise, dust, dirt, and similar environmental factors.

Essential personnel are required to work their scheduled shifts regardless of weather conditions or holidays.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

One year vocational/technical school degree and six months experience.

Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge and skills and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:

ServSafe Certification preferred
