Busy neighborhood bakery is hiring for the front of house/barista position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Arriving before opening to set the storefront up for customer service throughout the day, taking customer orders on a POS system, making espresso and coffee based drinks to order following established procedures and guidelines, and having the ability to do all of this under pressure while delivering excellent customer service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a neat, clean, and organized work environment, multitasking, working at a fast pace, and checking things off of a "to-do" list. Must be comfortable in a customer-facing roll for multiple hours at a time.
Some degree of experience in a coffee shop, bakery or fast-paced food establishment is ideal for this position, but training will be provided for the right candidate who possesses a willingness to learn.
Weekend shifts REQUIRED!!! We are not open on Sundays, but regular Saturday availability is a must.
This shift is 6 am to 2:30 pm during the week; 7 am-2:30 pm on Saturdays.
4-5 shifts a week, with one day off during the week and off on Sundays.

Requirements:
- Able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work with your hands for long periods of time.
- Comfortable using kitchen equipment such as digital scales, mixers, ovens, knives, food processor, immersion blender, stove, food wrap.
- Willingness to follow all food safety procedures.
- Able to keep work space organized and clean at all times.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
