Pioneer Engineering & Environmental Services, LLC is currently seeking an experienced and licensed asbestos inspector for our Chicago office. This individual will participate in a wide variety of projects for multi-family residential, commercial and industrial properties. This position offers tremendous opportunities for technical and professional growth. Job responsibilities and qualifications include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct asbestos building inspections and surveys in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Collect bulk asbestos samples following proper chain-of-custody procedures
- Prepare asbestos inspection reports and client deliverables
- Perform field inspections of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential properties
- Manage projects from proposal through final report
- Project reporting and client correspondence
- Develop written work plans, cost estimates and proposals
- Client management and day-to-day correspondence from initial proposal through reporting and follow up
- Coordinate with laboratories and contractors as needed.
- Project invoicing and budget tracking
Qualifications
- Illinois Asbestos Inspector License required
- Indiana and Wisconsin Licenses are a plus
- Experience performing asbestos inspections and hazardous building material surveys
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact on a high-level professional basis
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Enthusiastic, self-starter with desire to provide excellent service and attention to clients
- Valid Driver’s License
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
