Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, or developmental disabilities.
- Provide patient observation and monitor behavioral changes to ensure well-being and safety.
- Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning tasks.
- Use manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to assist with mobility safely.
- Facilitate social engagement activities and promote community participation to enhance quality of life.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of residents’ information.
- Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, dementia, or memory care needs.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; physical stamina for long shifts is essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for personal transportation assistance when needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
