Graphic Designer
We're looking for a talented, highly skilled Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team. This role is with a large-format sign and display company, creating artwork for banners, trade shows, media walls, dimensional displays, and custom event graphics.
The position is a combination of original design work and preparing customer proofs from artwork, logos, and instructions provided by clients. If you enjoy solving artwork challenges and seeing your designs come to life through print and fabrication, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality work, communicates well, and is willing to jump in wherever they're needed.
Skills
- Expert in Adobe Illustrator
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop
- Can create a basic customer proof in approximately 15 minutes
- Quickly upscales (up-rezzes) low-resolution images
- Fast and accurate at vectorizing logos and artwork
- Comfortable working with very large artwork files
- Strong file organization and management skills
- Able to troubleshoot and repair customer artwork files
- Thinks beyond the design and understands how artwork will actually be fabricated, printed, finished, and installed
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and attention to detail
- Professional written communication with customers
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines
- Fast and efficient while maintaining quality
- Works well with a senior designer or manager, takes direction easily, and executes designs accurately
- Takes feedback well from senior team members and customers, and is happy to make revisions as needed
- Keeps sales reps informed as soon as proofs are complete
- Notifies the appropriate team member when design tasks are complete and proactively looks for the next project instead of waiting for assignments
- Willing to assist with production, fabrication, installations, and other team tasks when design work is caught up

Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a sign shop, large-format printing company, exhibit or tradeshow company, or print production environment is preferred.
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
- Experience creating production-ready files for large-format printing
- Experience creating proofs that specify production materials such as MDF, plywood, Gatorfoam®, PVC, acrylic, and other display materials
- Experience printing and operating large-format printers
- Sales or customer service experience
- Ability to train or mentor other designers
