Job Overview
The Eligibility Specialist plays a crucial role in assessing and determining eligibility for Out Patient Procedure Facility. This position requires an individual who can navigate complex systems and know EPIC. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in insurance benefit of coordination.
Duties
- Provide guidance and support to clients regarding understanding their insurance benefits and deductibles.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, insurance benefits, and referrals while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in policies, procedures, and available resources that may impact client eligibility.
- Obtain Pre- Certification prior to Procedures with Health Plans
Experience
- A background in Medical Coding.
- Familiarity with Insurance Coordination of Benefits
- Experience in EPIC.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques is highly desirable.
