Our team is seeking an Information Technology Specialist III to support the deployment, maintenance, and operation of hardware and software systems throughout the East Hawai‘i Region. This position provides technical support to hospital staff, clinics, and affiliated facilities, helping ensure reliable technology systems and responsive customer service across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, install, test, move, and maintain computer hardware, peripheral equipment, software, network equipment, and related technology systems.

Provide technical support to end users and clinical specialists at Hilo Benioff Medical Center, Ka‘ū Hospital, Honoka‘a Hospital, facility clinics, and affiliated clinics.

Implement and document hardware and software changes, installations, upgrades, and equipment removals while maintaining appropriate system records.

Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical and operational issues involving hardware, software, networks, communications systems, and application processes.

Maintain hardware and software inventory systems and assist with equipment acquisition, transfer, and disposal processes.

Collaborate with Information Systems staff and operational analysts on the implementation, training, and maintenance of Regional and Enterprise applications while providing professional and courteous customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: One and one-half (1½) years of progressively responsible information technology experience involving systems analysis, design, programming, security and access management, database management, consulting, and/or installation and maintenance of computer software, hardware, telecommunications, or web/network infrastructure equipment.

Experience must demonstrate knowledge of IT principles, methods, techniques, and practices; computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment; and personal computer, server, mini, and/or mainframe operating systems.

Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes a drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen.
