Branch Manager / Field Inspector – Storm Restoration

Job Summary
First Point Construction is seeking an experienced, motivated, and driven Branch Manager / Field Inspector to lead the launch and growth of our new Grand Rapids branch.
This is a unique hybrid leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working both in the field and building a successful team. As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading our new Grand Rapids office, helping grow the market, mentoring and managing Field Inspectors, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout every project. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will continue performing residential roof inspections, meeting with homeowners, generating new business, and overseeing projects from inspection through completion.

Responsibilities
Branch Leadership
- Lead the daily operations of the Grand Rapids branch.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage Field Inspectors as the branch grows.
- Build a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Ensure company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations are met.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance development.
- Help expand First Point Construction's presence throughout West Michigan.
- Work closely with company leadership to achieve branch growth goals and revenue targets.
Field Inspector Responsibilities
- Perform residential roof inspections following storms.
- Safely climb ladders and walk residential roofs to inspect for storm damage.
- Photograph and document damage using company inspection procedures.
- Meet with homeowners to explain inspection findings and educate them on the insurance restoration process.
- Generate new business through referrals, customer interactions, networking, and limited door-to-door canvassing in storm-affected neighborhoods.
- Recommend roofing and exterior restoration solutions when appropriate.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with contractors throughout each project.
- Maintain regular communication with homeowners from inspection through project completion.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and customer documentation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every project.
- Travel throughout the Grand Rapids area and periodically to Southfield, Michigan, for leadership meetings, training, and company events.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Sales experience required.
- Roofing, construction, restoration, or home improvement experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and walking on residential roofs.
- Must not have a fear of heights.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead others.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable personal vehicle required.
- Ability to lift and carry ladders and perform physical job duties.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
