Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal, Pipe and/or Plumbing Superintendent to oversee field operations, manage crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily field activities for sheet metal and/or plumbing projects
- Manage and lead field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project schedules
- Monitor project progress and maintain productivity goals
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
- Order materials and manage equipment needs
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sheet metal and/or plumbing, with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation practices, and codes
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- OSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license
