Retail Associate (LOVA Aurora) – Full-Time

Position Summary
The Retail Associate plays a vital role in providing an exceptional, educational, and compliant customer experience. Team members educate consumers on product effects, consumption methods, regulations, and purchase limits, while meeting individual and team sales goals. This position requires accuracy, professionalism, and a deep understanding of Colorado’s cannabis rules and LOVA standards. In addition to their hourly rate, Retail Associates are eligible to receive tips.
Key Responsibilities
Product Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date cannabis knowledge across all product types, including effects, terpene profiles, consumption methods, and extraction techniques.
- Stay current with all brand and product training platforms (e.g., Learn Brands, vendor sessions).
- Communicate dosing and safety information effectively to customers.
Customer Service, Sales & Compliance
- Deliver top-tier service in line with LOVA’s brand experience and mission.
- Verify ID and ensure all transactions are compliant with MED regulations and company SOPs.
- Educate guests on purchase limits, storage guidelines, transportation laws, and safe consumption.
- Meet or exceed individual and store-wide sales goals.
Cash Handling
- Follow the Cash Handling SOP with accuracy and accountability.
- Complete drawer counts, opening/closing duties, deposits, and drops.
- Immediately report overages or shortages to management.
Professionalism & Communication
- Represent the brand with integrity, professionalism, and a positive attitude at all times.
- Monitor and respond to company communications via Slack and email promptly.
- Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented environment.
Retail Operations & Cleanliness
- Complete daily checklists and ensure POS stations are stocked and ready for the next shift.
- Maintain accurate labeling, display, and inventory organization.
- Support overall store cleanliness, labeling tasks, and inventory restocks.
- Performs any additional tasks as assigned by their supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active Colorado MED occupational license (badge).
- Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or state-issued ID.
- Cannabis retail experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (up to 75 lbs with assistance).
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required during operations.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and closing shifts as needed.
