Opening for: Temporary, Seasonal, and Casual Summer Workers
The district is seeking casual labor employees for summer maintenance work within the
Cardinal Local School District. OAPSE CBA Article #25
Workers needed: 6 part-time workers at 29.5 hrs./week
Number of workdays: 48 workdays June 1st, 2026, through August 7, 2026 (may work
partial days or alternate days as arranged) Two unpaid holidays off; June 19th & July 3rd.
Pay wage: $11.00/hr.
Supervisor: Maintenance Director
1. Assist custodians with floor treatments and other general custodial duties as assigned.
2. Assist maintenance personnel with projects. The maintenance person will operate
heavy equipment. The helper will assist and do clean-up.
3. Complete self-directed projects including but not limited to; painting, furniture re-
location, brick cleaning, general landscaping care, carpet removal, and distributing
delivered materials.
4. Operate a lawn mower to cut grass at all school sites.
5. Operate trimming equipment to cut back shrubs, bushes and trees.
6. Properly clean and lubricate mowing equipment weekly
