Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will perform critical inspections at multiple production stages to ensure our steering components meet strict safety and engineering standards. This position is fully hands-on and does not require computer work; all data tracking, inspection logs, and production signs-offs are completed manually on paper forms.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection Stages
- First Piece Inspection: Verify the first part of a new production run matches blueprints exactly before full manufacturing begins.
- In-Process Production Inspection: Audit parts directly on the active assembly line to ensure continuous quality and catch defects early.
- Final Inspection: Conduct ultimate quality checks on completed steering components before they are packaged and shipped.
Daily Duties
- Measure tight-tolerance steering parts using dial calipers and micrometers.
- Check surface variations and alignments using dial indicators and gages.
- Document all measurement results and pass/fail statuses neatly on paper inspection logs.
- Isolate defective parts immediately and notify the floor supervisor to halt production if a defect trend is found.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
