As a Sewer Inspection Technician, you play a critical role in helping customers understand the condition of their sewer systems and guiding them toward the right solutions. This position focuses on inspecting sewer mainlines using camera equipment, accurately diagnosing issues, and making professional recommendations for repair or full sewer line replacement when necessary. This is a customer-facing role that combines technical skill with strong communication and sales opportunities.
- Perform sewer mainline inspections using camera and locating equipment
- Evaluate sewer line conditions and identify defects, blockages, or failures
- Clearly explain inspection findings to customers in their homes
- Recommend full sewer line replacement when warranted
- Provide honest, solution-based options that meet customer needs
- Deliver excellent customer service to earn repeat and referral business
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation, photos, and videos
- Scope residential sewer mainlines to assess overall condition
- Identify root intrusion, breaks, offsets, bellies, or collapsed pipe
- Communicate findings in a clear, professional, and customer-friendly manner
- Make recommendations for sewer repair or full replacement when needed
- Support the sales process by educating customers on long-term solutions
- Maintain and properly care for sewer camera and inspection equipment
- Accurately document inspection results and upload to CRM software (ServiceTitan)
- Follow company standards, safety procedures, and policies
- Represent the company professionally at all times
- Experience in sewer inspection, plumbing, drain, or underground utilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain technical information in a way customers understand
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in residential environments and various conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software
