Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations of the branch to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant service.
· Open and close the branch in accordance with established procedures, including security checks, cash controls, and daily operational readiness.
· Lead, coach, and develop branch staff while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
· Monitor branch performance, including member service, lending activity, deposits, and operational goals.
· Support member relationship growth by promoting appropriate credit union products and services.
· Handle escalated member concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
· Ensure adherence to internal policies, security procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
· Manage scheduling, staffing, training, and performance evaluations for branch employees.
· Represent the credit union in the community and help build strong local relationships.
Qualifications
· Previous managerial or supervisory experience required, preferably in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.
· Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
· Experience in branch operations, member service, and financial products such as deposits and consumer lending.
· Lending experience is preferred, including knowledge of consumer lending processes, loan products, and member lending needs.
· Solid understanding of compliance, security, and operational controls in a financial environment.
· Excellent communication, complex problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
· Adaptability and the ability to lead effectively through change, shifting priorities, and evolving member and staff needs.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
