Part-time Associate Psychotherapist (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) position available with a mental health-focused Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This position is mainly remote. As an Associate, you will run groups, provide individual therapy, and conduct Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT). EMDR training and certification are available. Many of your duties will be conducted via telehealth and in the clinic, but you will also be required to be on-site for supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a PhD/PsyD, Master's degree, or higher, in mental health. Prefer candidates who still need to gain hours toward licensing.
- Please be engaging. Much of our clients are remote, and having an ability to connect with clients is important for therapeutic efficacy.
- Must be available to be at our Santa Monica and Woodland Hills locations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Give group and individual therapy.
- Conduct clinical evaluation, psychosocial assessment, client diagnosis and interpretive summary. Prepare person-centered treatment plans, case management, consultation, education, and referral as needed.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed.
- Facilitate individual psychotherapy sessions and group therapy.
- Provide services in accordance to organization's policies and procedures, and established Mental Health and Substance Abuse Standards as well as within the scope of practice of the therapist.
- Evaluate the individual and family systems as well as assess client's functioning within work, family, and routines of daily living and identifies areas needing continued support, resources and treatment in order to assist clients.
- Develop, implement, and maintain partnerships with other community providers.
- Maintain Electronic Health Records to reflect course of treatment and provide required documentation.
- Prepare pre-certification/authorization clinical information to insurance utilization case managers and subsequent concurrent review (continued stay) clinical reports per medical necessity criteria.
- Provide follow-up and aftercare planning services as needed. Expeditiously discharge inactive clients.
- Provide emergency crisis services during work hours and after hours as assigned.
- Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, training, and other activities, which ensure effective and efficient functioning of clinical operations.
- Adhere to code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, and exercise professionalism at all times.
- Exercise awareness in cultural competency, client satisfaction, quality of services, client needs, and overall health and safety of staff and clients.
- Other duties as determined by the Clinical Director and CEO.
