Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Saw Cutting Assistant! Duties
- Assist with setting up and positioning concrete saws and cutting equipment according to project plans and schematics
- Support the safe operation of power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment used for concrete cutting and demolition
- Help measure and mark cutting lines on concrete surfaces using blueprints, schematics, or manual measurements
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, securing work zones, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support the handling of materials such as rebar, formwork, or other structural components during cutting operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and clean cuts for concrete slabs, walls, or other structures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety guidelines
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Construction site experience with familiarity in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of concrete finishing, formwork, rebar installation, and masonry techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Experience with renovation, restoration, or commercial construction projects is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow detailed instructions
