Position Summary: The Supervisor, Order Fulfillment is responsible for supervising daily fulfillment activities to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of orders. This role provides oversight of pharmacy technicians and fulfillment staff, supporting day-to-day workflow execution and adherence to regulatory, quality, and safety standards. The Supervisor supports workflow efficiency, assists in the resolution of fulfillment issues, and ensures consistent performance against established service expectations. This role works closely with pharmacists and internal teams to support uninterrupted fulfillment operations and ensure accurate and timely order completion.
Essential Functions:
- Supervises daily order fulfillment activities, including prescription processing, packaging, and distribution, to ensure timely and accurate order completion.
- Oversees pharmacy technicians and fulfillment staff, providing direction, training, and day-to-day support to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards.
- Ensures accuracy of medication orders and compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Monitors and manages workflow, productivity, and turnaround times to meet established service level expectations.
- Provides support in the investigation and resolution of fulfillment errors, discrepancies, and customer issues, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
- Maintains coordination with inventory management to ensure appropriate stock levels and support uninterrupted fulfillment operations.
- Enforces quality assurance standards within the fulfillment process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and patient safety.
- Collaborates with pharmacists and internal teams to support efficient workflow execution and issue resolution.
- Ensures adherence to HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality standards.
- Prepares and reviews basic reports on workflow performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience; supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Active Pharmacy Technician License with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy in good standing.
- Experience working in high-volume pharmacy environments.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, order fulfillment processes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to provide direction, support team consistency, and maintain workflow standards.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and support appropriate resolution or escalation.
