POSITION SUMMARY:
The Contracts Manager will analyze and negotiate transferring risk as appropriate from the commercial review standpoint and ushering through full execution: Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) contracts, Limited Notice to Proceed, MSAs, and formal bids materials as needed. This position will have supervisory responsibilities for the Contracts Analyst I and II, and Senior Analyst positions. This position will administer policies and procedures for all contracts in compliance with company and customer expectations. This position is responsible for the management of EPC contracts or any other main agreements from cradle-to-grave, inclusive of all contracts exhibits while maintaining a centralized contracts repository system.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the daily status of contracts progression towards eventual execution through overseeing the administration of system workflows by the analyst/s assigned to the project at hand, closure of exhibits through SMEs review completion, negotiation (both written and oral) of diverse types of agreements and Term Sheets, among other related duties.

Partners with department Directors to develop contract strategies in alignment with business development goals on a project-by-project basis.

Improves the structure of proposals/contracts/bid documents as they relate to EPC contracts in collaboration with sales, business development, pre-construction and legal.

Ensures contracts are negotiated in accordance with business objectives and engages in contract amendments and renegotiation to accommodate scope and schedule changes.

Provides expertise in identifying and communicating potential contractual issues and analyzes impacts/ramifications to make risk transfer or mitigation strategic recommendations.

Ensures fulfillment of contractual obligations from all contracting parties.

Ensures timely development and execution of Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) or Early Works documents between the organization, contracting counter parties and key subcontractors to support project schedule needs and facilitate the timely completion of the work.

Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations of direct reports.

Coaches and mentors direct reports to at a minimum meet, if not to exceed standards for their positions.

Identifies, ideates, and implements new processes, technology, and systems to improve and streamline contract processes and use of resources and materials.

Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, developmental, organizational, and efficiencies are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.

Establishes, communicates, and implements contracts-related policies, practices, standards, trainings, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.

Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to contract team leadership.

Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in contract negotiations.

Performs other related duties as assigned and as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
-
10+ years of experience under an EPC model.
-
5+ years of experience in EPC Contracts.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in managing and leading a team.
-
Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the Renewable Energy industry.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Critical thinking skills and creative problem solving.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Commercial experience in the construction industry.

Salary $150,000 - $180,000 annually, dependent on experience, qualifications, and competencies.
