Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning and preparation of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and customer preferences
- Prepare food items using proper cooking techniques, including chopping, slicing, and assembling dishes
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation standards to prevent contamination
- Serve meals efficiently and courteously to residents, guests, or customers, maintaining excellent customer service
- Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items professionally
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation
- Follow all food safety protocols and document compliance during daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating excellent customer interaction skills
- Proficiency in food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen equipment operation
- Culinary experience including knife skills and meal preparation is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for hygiene and safety regulations
