Job Description:Perform inspections in accordance with API and STI standards on atmospheric tanks and pressure vessel equipment for purposes of recommending and approving repairs or certifying compliance.

- Candidate will perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of the fixed equipment.
- Candidate should be detail orientated and be capable of recommending and approving repairs as well as performing visual inspection of completed work.
- Must possess certification as an API 510/570/653-STI Inspector.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year’s experience conducting API 510 Inspections.
- Must possess certification as an API 570 Inspector.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year's experience conducting API 570 Inspections.
- Must possess certification as an API 653 Inspector.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year’s experience conducting API 653 Inspections.
- Must possess ability to assist in scheduling of activities related to inspection.
- Candidate must be proficient with standard computer software such as MS Word and Excel and be able to write detailed inspection and turnaround reports while maintaining an organizational system of files.
- Candidate must be capable of climbing, working at high elevations and working in confined spaces.
- Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Properly uses and completes customer and company job related forms and paperwork.
- Communicates and deals with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company. This communication is in person at the plant / job site.
- Learns and abides by Company policies and procedures.
- Completes all required training, including tests, within Company guidelines.
- Learns all Company products and services that are available to our customers.
- Learns and abides by Company policies and procedures.
- Performs necessary filing of customer and company job related forms and paperwork.
- Communicates and deals with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company. This communication is completed by telephone.
- Performs other related maintenance or shop duties as assigned by supervision.

- Drive company vehicles.

Job Standards
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent, technical school or college credits preferred.
- Able to follow precise directions and procedures of the supervisor on the project.
- Must possess certification as an API 510/570/653 Inspector.
- Must have 2 years previous experience as an API 510/570/653 inspector or Five (5) years experience as a certified Level II NDE Technician.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
Working Conditions
- Field duties require outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
- Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.

Other Requirements
Works a fluctuating schedule dependant on project requirements. Requires occasional out of town and overnight travel.
