We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics, identifying mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs to keep vehicles in peak condition.
- Repair or replace critical mechanical systems including transmissions, powertrain components, brakes, shocks & struts, and diesel engines..
- Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, or replace vehicle parts following manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately to ensure precise repairs and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring vehicle maintenance meets industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, diesel engines, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics equipment and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with auto estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and ADAS technology is highly desirable.
- Valid certification in automotive repair or relevant technical training; ASE certification is preferred.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or heavy equipment mechanics is advantageous but not required.
