Job Title: Engineer/Designer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer/Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in the design and development of a wide range of custom machines, structures, weldments, and other equipment to support our customers’ needs. You’ll work closely with our Customer Relations Managers to create detailed designs, models, and drawings — primarily using SolidWorks.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with skilled technicians and fabricators to design and develop a variety of mechanical and structural solutions for client projects, from concept to production.
Create detailed design specifications, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD software.
Develop and execute design validation and testing plans as needed to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Contribute to material selection, manufacturing processes, and supplier coordination for designed equipment.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality control teams during ramp-up and production.
Continuously improve existing designs based on customer feedback and evolving market needs.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in mechanical or welding equipment design and development.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Portfolio showcasing relevant design projects and achievements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Welding Engineering or a related field.
Experience with FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Familiarity with welding and forming techniques.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and material properties.
