Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Support banquet operations by preparing large quantities of food as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food service.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- A background in hospitality or culinary arts is a plus, especially for those interested in advancing their careers in the kitchen.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
