Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County & Southern Utah
Locations: Washington County (Washington, Sandstone, Legacy, Paradise Canyon, Red Mountain, Sunset Elementary)
Pay: $15–$18 per hour
Schedule: Approximately 15–22 hours per week, afternoons during the school year
School Year: August 2026 – May 2027

Do you enjoy working with youth and making a positive impact in your community? Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County & Southern Utah is seeking energetic, caring, and dependable Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) to join our afterschool team.
As a YDP, you will create meaningful connections with youth while providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where young people can learn, grow, and thrive. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals interested in education, youth development, recreation, social work, or anyone passionate about making a difference.

Build positive relationships with youth through mentorship and active engagement.

Create a physically and emotionally safe environment for all participants.

Lead and participate in games, sports, recreation, and enrichment activities.

Facilitate engaging lessons and group activities.

Support youth social-emotional growth and development.

Encourage inclusion, teamwork, respect, and positive behavior.

Assist with attendance tracking, surveys, and program documentation.

Maintain organized program spaces and materials.

Work collaboratively with fellow staff to create a high-quality program experience.
Typical program hours include:
Monday–Thursday

Approximately 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Friday

Earliest start time may be 11:30 AM
In addition to program hours, staff are expected to attend:

Weekly staff meetings

Monthly professional development trainings

Required conferences and training events throughout the year

Experience working with youth ages 5–18

Experience in education, recreation, childcare, or youth programs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with Google Workspace and basic computer applications

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors

Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed
