InSync Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Credentials Coordinator to support medical staff services in an acute care hospital setting. This onsite role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in provider credentialing, privileging, reappointments, and medical staff operations.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of medical staff services experience in an acute care/hospital environment, along with familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and medical staff credentialing processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Associate’s Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent related experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical staff services within an acute care hospital setting
- Strong experience with credentialing and privileging for initial applicants and reappointments
- Knowledge of medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital compliance standards
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards
- CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) preferred
- CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all assigned credentialing functions for medical and allied health staff
- Process initial appointments, reappointments, privileging, and focused professional practice evaluations/proctoring
- Ensure credential files are accurate, complete, compliant, and processed in a timely manner
- Perform primary source verification and maintain credentialing documentation
- Support provider onboarding, including system access, orientation, training, and badging
- Maintain current knowledge of medical staff bylaws, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with maintaining the medical staff database and credentialing records
- Maintain strict confidentiality for all provider and medical staff information
- Collaborate with hospital departments and leadership to support medical staff operations
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
Pay: $35.73 - $38.77 per hour
