Bartender / Mixologist Position Summary
The Bartender/Mixologist is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by preparing high-quality beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining an organized, efficient bar. This role combines expert knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails with a passion for hospitality, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and presentation standards.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and craft cocktails.
- Recommend beverages based on guest preferences and menu pairings.
- Engage guests with friendly, attentive, and professional service while creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service stations, and storage areas.
- Prepare fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, and cocktail ingredients daily.
- Accurately process guest orders, payments, and cash transactions using the POS system.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and supplies throughout each shift.
- Assist servers by preparing drink tickets promptly and accurately.
- Monitor inventory and notify management of low-stock items.
- Follow all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work.
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal cocktails, promotions, and specialty beverages.
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality during high-volume service periods.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or high-volume bar preferred.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and premium spirits.
- Excellent multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong teamwork skills.
- Must meet all state and local requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to speak Spanish and English.
- Experienced with toast pos system.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, reach, and move throughout the bar area.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
