Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable In-Home Caregiver to join our team at Desert Hearts Nursing and Home Care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who wish to remain safely and independently in their own homes. You’ll assist clients with daily activities, provide companionship, and help maintain a comfortable and supportive living environment. This position requires flexibility, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Weekend availability required
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and errands.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting engagement and well-being.
- Offer transportation to medical appointments, social outings, or errands as needed.
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate any changes in client condition to the office or supervisor promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment within the client’s home.
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and compassion in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- CNA license preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in-home care provider is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to assist clients safely with mobility and transfers.
- Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Must pass background screening and reference checks.
