Job Summary Join the Homecrest manufacturing team as a Production Associate in our soft goods department. In this role, you will use an industrial sewing machine to create products, fill cushions, sort and inspect fabrics from the fabric cutter, and more. We are seeking someone who is reliable and has a keen eye for detail, which is crucial for our team’s success. If this sounds like you, we want you on our team!
Job Duties
· Fill and pack cushions and sling pads with fiberfill per book procedures, taking pride in the quality of your work.
· Cut fiberfill using the end saw according to safety and quality standards.
· Offer ideas to improve the efficiency of our department processes.
· Fill blowing machine and fill backs/pillows according to instructions.
· Make buttons and attach snaps and tips to tie strings with care and a focus on craftsmanship.
· Load cushions onto a cart and move carts to the processing area.
· Use an industrial sewing machine to create product, including slings and cushions, with dedication to excellence.
· Keep the sewing machine clean and oiled, and change needles and secure/adjust attachments as needed, demonstrating ownership of your workspace and equipment.
· Sort fabrics from the fabric cutter, keeping a close eye out for flaws, off-weave, color variance, and any other discrepancy, ensuring our products meet our high quality standards.
· Write cut sheets to get the appropriate model needed for add-ons, quick ships, and any re-cuts.
· Sort product into complete, bundled units with cushion tickets.
