MDI is currently seeking a full-time CNC Lathe/Programmer Operator. The candidate must possess good communication skills, be self-sufficient, pay close attention to detail, and be a Team Player.
Responsibilities:

CNC Programming for 2-, 3- or 4-axis MAZAK turning centers with MAZATROL

Design and oversee the production of fixtures and tooling.

Support Ongoing machining processes by providing technical expertise.

Provide shop floor assistance whenever needed.

Communicate with engineering if needed for additional details.
Required:
-
Candidate must have 3+ years of experience programming and running small to large production lots.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of feeds, speeds and cutter selections for appropriate jobs.

Familiarity with inspection equipment and methods.

Proficient in the interpretation and use of engineering design drawings and technical specifications.

Must be capable of holding tolerances to +/-0.0005 inch and selecting the proper cutting inserts for jobs.

Parts are small in size and are made of different materials, thus experience working with these different materials is a must: Tool steel, Stainless steel, Carbide, Copper, Titanium, etc.

Ability to read and use precision measuring tools for inspecting products after production to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.
Additional Qualifications that Will Set a Candidate Apart:

Experience with grinders and Bridgeport operation.

Manual machining experience.
-
Welding experience.
-
Supervisory experience is a big plus.
