Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team at [Black Mountain Bistro]. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious meals in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in fine dining and contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items to high standards, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
- Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, including meal planning, food presentation, and plating
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient service and high-quality food
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to guests
- Help with catering events, including food preparation and service
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
- Assist with food ordering and inventory management
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
Experience:
- Prior experience as a line cook in a restaurant or similar environment is required
- Experience in restaurants is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, meal planning, and food safety is essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in catering or food service is a plus
Skills:
- Proven experience in food preparation and meal planning
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Ability to work in a team environment and help with food preparation and service
- Experience in fine dining or high-end restaurants
- Knowledge of catering or food service
- Experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and support to guests
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
