Epoch at Exeter Inn is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our back-of-house operations while supporting the overall guest experience.
Position Summary
As a Dishwasher, you will play a key role behind the scenes by ensuring all kitchenware, equipment, and workspaces are clean, sanitized, and ready for service. This is a great opportunity to begin or grow your career in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organize used dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machines efficiently
- Wash select items by hand (e.g., large pots, cutting boards, delicate items)
- Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Set up and maintain dish and prep stations before and during service
- Ensure a steady supply of clean dishware, especially during peak hours
- Maintain cleaning supply levels and notify management when restocking is needed
- Monitor dish machine performance and report any issues promptly
- Remove trash regularly and maintain overall cleanliness
- Sanitize kitchen areas, including floors and work surfaces
What We’re Looking For
- Previous dishwasher or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
- Good time management and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
