Duties
- Develop individualized employment plans tailored to each client’s strengths, interests, and goals
- Provide hands-on coaching to enhance job skills, workplace behaviors, and communication strategies
- Support clients with developmental disabilities or autism by adapting training methods to meet their unique needs
- Assist with job search activities including resume building, interview preparation, and employer engagement
- Collaborate with employers, community agencies, and families to facilitate successful placements and ongoing support
- Conduct regular check-ins to monitor progress, address challenges, and celebrate successes
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, progress reports, and employment outcomes
Skills
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law related to workplace rights and accommodations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism preferred
- Background in addiction counseling or social work enhances ability to support diverse client needs
- Excellent teaching, mentoring, interviewing, recruiting, and training skills to foster growth and independence
- Ability to develop creative solutions for workforce development challenges
- Compassionate communicator with active listening skills and the ability to motivate others
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams, employers, and community partners
