Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Pattern/Fabric Cutter to join our dynamic design and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating design concepts into precise fabric patterns and cutting fabric pieces with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to the creation of high-quality handbags and accessories, ensuring that each piece meets our standards for fit, finish, and craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with designers, pattern makers, and production staff in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to excellence in fashion and textiles.
Responsibilities
- Interpret pattern designs and technical specifications to accurately cut fabric pieces for garment production
- Utilize machinery such as cutting tables, rotary cutters, and mechanical cutting equipment to ensure precise cuts
- Maintain detailed records of fabric usage, pattern adjustments, and cutting processes for quality control and inventory management
- Collaborate with the garment construction team to ensure seamless translation from pattern to finished product
- Follow safety protocols and mechanical guidelines during all cutting and drafting activities to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in machining, drafting, or fabric cutting within a fashion or textile manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to sewing machines, cutting equipment, and pattern drafting tools
- Familiarity with handbag construction techniques and fabric properties
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, patterns, and specifications accurately
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to apparel production
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision in cutting and pattern creation
- Basic sewing skills are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
